DC-Inverter The Chiltrix CXI-series FCUs (Fan Coil Units) are available in four different sizes from .28 ton to 1 ton. These DC-Inverter fan motor FCUs are the most efficient fan coils available on the market, using far less energy at any given speed than a standard fan coil unit. The ability to adjust the speed of the motor without compromising efficiency is a crucial additional benefit. Designed for the Chiltrix CX-series chillers of ultra-efficient chillers, these fan coils are also compatible with all chiller systems.
normally these units are used without valves so thats how we produce them. We do include an onboard transformer that can be used to energize the coil in a relay, for example, via a ice cube relay it can start a pump which is how they are normally used. The onboard transformer has max .25a capability. Aside from a special valve that we can install up inside the unit at the time of manufacturing (and we dont) we dont know of any valve that can operate at </= .25a. So for customers who wish to use a valve, they generally use our 24vac output to trigger a relay that would then control a valve. So each unit would need a small relay added, as well as a larger transformer, and of course a valve.
